Baseball: Ichiro becomes 1st Asian elected to U.S. Hall of Fame
Ichiro Suzuki of the Miami Marlins hits a triple in a baseball game against the Colorado Rockies in Denver, Colorado, on Aug. 7, 2016, marking his 3,000th hit in MLB. It was announced on Jan. 21, 2025, that Ichiro, who also played for the Seattle Mariners, had become the first Asian player elected to the U.S. National Baseball Hall of Fame.
