U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed today a 25% tariff on Canadian imports and a 10% tariff on oil, a move expected to disrupt Canada’s economy, prompting Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to impose retaliatory tariffs of 25% on $155 billion worth of American goods, including $30 billion effective Tuesday and another $125 billion in 21 days to allow Canadian companies time to adjust.
