Protesters Call For Human Rights Protection And Non-Detention Investigation For President Yoon
Protesters hold a press conference in front of the National Human Rights Commission of Korea in Seoul, South Korea, on February 10, 2025, demanding the protection of President Yoon Suk-yeol's human rights and a non-detention investigation. Participants hold national flags and placards, denouncing alleged political suppression and calling for fair legal proceedings. President Yoon is arrested on December 3, 2024, on charges including illegal martial law, a coup attempt, treason, and collusion with foreign forces. His impeachment trial is now in its final stage. The Constitutional Court is scheduled to hold its 7th and 8th hearings this week, questioning eight witnesses, with no further schedule confirmed yet. While additional hearings may be scheduled, many expect the court to conclude proceedings by the end of the month and deliver a ruling on Yoon's impeachment in March. (Photo by Chris Jung/NurPhoto)
