Astronomers at the Faculty of Astronomy at the Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra (UMSU) in Medan, Indonesia, observed the crescent moon of Ramadan 1446 AH on February 28, 2025, to confirm the start of Ramadan. The Muhammadiyah Central Leadership (PP) in Indonesia has announced that 1 Ramadan 1446 AH will fall on Saturday, March 1, 2025. This determination is in line with the decision of the Indonesian government, as conveyed through the Ministry of Religious Affairs, which ratified the results of the Isbat Session held on Friday, February 28, 2025.
