According to the son, for eleven consecutive evenings before that night, he heard noises that terrified him, almost making sick. His mother, who died 27 years earlier, reminded him of his duty of having Holy Masses said (in compliance with the terms of his paternal legacy) and reproached him for his reprehensible lifestyle, begging him to change his behavior and work for the Church.
