Two firefighters die and five others injured in the subway garage fire - Madrid

Agents of the emergency teams remove the body of one of the deceased firefighters at the scene, April 2, 2025, in Alcorcón, Madrid (Spain). Two firefighters from the local park of Alcorcón have died and five have been injured of varying degrees in a fire in a subway garage in this town in the south of the region, according to Emergencias Comunidad de Madrid 112. The event took place this afternoon in a parking lot located in the street Lillos de Alcorcón, where troops intervene local park, supported by Firefighters of the Community of Madrid, the Summa 112 and other emergency resources. The health workers have confirmed the death of two firefighters, who were initially unreachable. In addition, five others have been affected by smoke inhalation.
