Fidji Simo, 39-Year-Old French Executive Joins OpenAI Leadership
A 39-year-old Frenchwoman at the helm of OpenAI, the world's hottest artificial intelligence (AI) start-up. Fidji Simo's career path is sure to impress. On Thursday 8 May, the native of Sète was appointed by CEO Sam Altman as CEO of applications for the company that created the popular chatbot ChatGPT. She will take up her new post in a few weeks' time, while a replacement is found for her current position as CEO of e-commerce start-up Instacart.
