80th V Day Commemoration - Brussels
The annual ceremony of commemoration of V Day is underway at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Brussels, Belgium, on May 8, 2025. Liberation Day is commemorated in several places in Europe. On May 8, 1945, exactly 80 years ago, Nazi Germany finally surrendered to Allied forces. In Brussels too, Victory Day was commemorated at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
