Kyoto University's Kashiwara wins 2025 Abel Prize
Masaki Kashiwara, professor emeritus at the Research Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Kyoto University, makes a speech at the University of Oslo in Norway, on May 21, 2025, a day after attending the 2025 Abel Prize ceremony. Kashiwara became the first Japanese recipient of the Abel Prize, considered the "Nobel Prize for mathematics."
