Archive: Farewell to Arnaldo Pomodoro; the master of contemporary sculpture dies at 99

File photo dated on ... . Arnaldo Pomodoro passed away last night, Sunday 22 June, in Milan on the eve of his 99th birthday, at his home. This was announced by the Foundation that bears his name, directed by Carlotta Montebello. The sculptor, known among other things for his iconic bronze spheres, was in fact born on 23 June 1926 in Montebello di Romagna. "With the passing of Arnaldo Pomodoro, the art world loses one of its most authoritative, lucid and visionary voices," the Foundation's general director recalls, on June 23, 2025 in Milan, Italy.
