A wildfire that broke out in the Karaali neighborhood of Antakya’s central district continued to burn on Tuesday, July 1, spreading to the Oğlakören and Üçgedik neighborhoods due to strong winds.
Wildfires have been raging across Turkey, forcing tens of thousands to flee their homes.
In Hatay Province’s Antakya district, the blaze began on Sunday and intensified as strong winds fanned the flames, prompting the evacuation of around 1,500 residents from three neighborhoods.
