US: Chattanooga Faces Flash Flooding, Hamilton County Declares State of Emergency

Torrential rain struck across southern Tennessee on Tuesday, August 12, causing flash flooding and dozens of water rescues in Chattanooga. Roads and highways were closed, including I-24 between US 27 and I-75 due to flooding. Hamilton County was under a local state of emergency due to widespread flash flooding.
