Damascus International Fair - Syria
A large sculpture of Syria’s national emblem eagle is displayed inside a pavilion at the Damascus International Fair following the fall of Assad’s rule. Visitors stop to take photos beside the tan-coloured eagle, whose wings represent Syria’s 14 governorates and tail feathers symbolize the five main regions of the country. Officially adopted on 3 July 2025, the emblem has become a marker of Syria’s new visual identity. September 3, 2025. Photo by Mohammad Daher/ABACAPRESS.COM
