Australia: Multiple Groups Stage Protests Across Major Cities 2
Multiple groups are holding demonstrations in various Australian cities on Saturday, September 13.
The Australia Unites rallies, organized by far-right and anti-vaccine groups, are protesting government policies on cost of living, health, and the environment. At the same time, Indigenous and Palestinian activists are holding a National Day of Action against racism and fascism, partly in response to a neo-Nazi raid on Camp Sovereignty in Melbourne in August.
Authorities, particularly in Victoria, are cautious of potential clashes between far-right and far-left participants, though organizers of both movements emphasize that their protests are intended to remain peaceful.
