Students March With Torches Demanding Maximum Penalty for Hasina - Dhaka
Members of the Jatiya Chhatra Shakti (National Student Power) staged a torch march in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on Nov. 16, 2025, demanding the maximum punishment for ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over allegations of genocide and crimes against humanity. The procession moved from Shahbagh to the Raju Sculpture at Dhaka University, where leaders reiterated their call for justice as a special tribunal continues proceedings in a case in which prosecutors have sought the death penalty.
