Dozens of people queuing at the Renfe offices at Madrid-Puerta de Atocha-Almudena Grandes station, 18 January 2026, in Madrid (Spain). At least seven dead and 25 seriously injured have been found after the derailment at around 19.45 hours this Sunday, 18 January, of a train carrying some 300 people and covering the Malaga-Puerta de Atocha route on the turnouts at the entrance to track 1 of the Adamuz station (Cordoba), which caused it to invade the adjacent track.
