Toyota posts record high operating profit for April-June

Toyota's dealerships across Japan are selling the car as the Passo and Daihatsu's are selling it as the Boon. The lineup of the new model features 1.0-liter and 1.3-liter engines, with prices set between 945,000 yen and 1,302,000 yen.

Toyota net profit down 9.7% in April-June

TOKYO, Japan - Toyota Motor Corp. Executive Vice President Ryuji Araki announced earnings results for the April-June quarter at a press conference in Tokyo on Aug. 5. Toyota said its group net profit for the period fell 9.7% from a year earlier to 222.59 billion yen due to exchange rate fluctuations and the temporary effect of model shifts at its North American plants.
