Anti-immigration group South East Patriots held a "Stop the Boats" march in Brighton city center on Saturday, June 13, drawing around 300 supporters. A counter-protest under the banner of Carnival Against Fascism drew an estimated 4,000 people. Police deployed riot officers after items were thrown, and eight people were arrested on charges including assaulting a police officer, breach of the peace, and possession of a pyrotechnic item.
