Severe storms triggered flash flooding across Spain's La Rioja region on Sunday, turning streets into rivers and prompting authorities to activate emergency protocols as torrential rain overwhelmed drainage systems. The town of Haro was hit particularly hard, recording nearly 55 liters of rain per square meter in under an hour, flooding garages and businesses and submerging vehicles.
