US: Severe Storms Bring Hail, Tornado to Northern Utah

Heavy hail pelted a shopping center parking lot in Layton, Davis County, on Friday, September 18, as severe thunderstorms swept through northern Utah, prompting a tornado warning across the region. Footage shows hailstones pelting the pavement and parked vehicles outside the Layton Hills Mall as the storm passed through. A tornado also touched down near Francis Peak in Davis County, though no damage was reported there, while elsewhere the storms uprooted trees, damaged ceilings, and cracked fences.
