Canada: Wildfires Rage Across Manitoba, Blanketing Skies in Smoke

More than 200 wildfires continued to burn across Canada as of Friday, June 6, prompting nationwide air quality alerts as smoke drifts into the U.S. In Manitoba, over 20 fires, including several that are "out of control," forced approximately 19,000 people to evacuate their homes.

Canada: Manitoba Under State of Emergency as Wildfires Force Thousands to Evacuate

Manitoba declared a state of emergency and urged thousands of people in northern and eastern parts of the province to evacuate as wildfires continue to threaten communities across the province.  This video, recorded on Tuesday night, shows the raging fire in Sheridon.
