Ex-Justice Minister Nagano dies at 87

TOKYO, Japan - Former Justice Minister Shigeto Nagano in this file photo taken in April 1994, died of pneumonia at a hospital in Kanagawa Prefecture on Jan. 4 at age 87. A former soldier in the Imperial Japanese Army, Nagano was forced to resign as justice minister in 1990 after denying the 1937-1938 Nanjing Massacre. He was elected to the House of Councillors on the Liberal Democratic Party ticket in 1986.
