Nissan to take orders for Fairlady Z convertibles

TOKYO, Japan - Nissan Motor Co. said Aug. 18 it will start taking orders for the convertible version of its Fairlady Z sports car (in handout photo) on Aug. 20. Nissan will release the Fairlady Z Roadstar this fall but has yet to announce the launch date, price and other details. In the North American market, the Fairlady Z Roadstar was released as the 350Z Roadstar earlier this month. It carries a price tag of $33,850.

Nissan Motor releases new Fairlady Z

TOKYO, Japan - Nissan President Carlos Ghosn stands by the new Fairlady Z, known as the 350Z in the United States, at a presentation ceremony in Tokyo on July 30. The fifth generation of the Fairlady Z series, the best-selling series of sports cars in the world, is powered by a 3,500-cc V6 cylinder engine. Nissan offers the sports car in four grades at prices ranging from 3 million to 3.6 million yen.
