U.S. F-35 fighter jets arrive in Japan, mark 1st overseas deployment

IWAKUNI, Japan, Jan. 18 Kyodo - F-35 fighter jets fly over Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture, in western Japan, to U.S. Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni on Jan. 18, 2017, for the first deployment of the stealth aircraft outside the United States. A total of 16 F-35s will be deployed at the station until the end of August.
