Police estimated between 250 and 300 people waved flags and yelled "freedom" on Parliament Hill. Police presence was visible in the entire Parliamentary district, though no arrests or confrontations were witnessed. The "Freedom Convoy 2022" protest began on Jan. 29 last year as a rally of truckers against the requirement that Canadian truck drivers crossing the border into the United States be fully vaccinated as of mid-January.
