Royals At Princess of Asturias Awards - Spain

The Princess of Asturias Foundation has designed an extensive program consisting of more than seventy cultural activities on the occasion of the 45th Princess of Asturias Awards. Under the name "Awards Week", it will take place between October 16 and 25 in Avilés, Colombres, Gijón, Oviedo and San Martín del Rey Aurelio. In this edition, the program includes concerts, film cycles, exhibitions, art installations and collective workshops. In addition to recognising the role of science with the Princess of Asturias Award for Technical and Scientific Research, a diploma will also be presented to a feminist journalist and writer; a chef and businessman; and a Paralympic swimmer. New Hampshire to commemorate Portsmouth Peace Treaty

CONCORD, United States - New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch (front) signs a bill on Aug. 17, 2010, at Concord, New Hampshire, to designate Sept. 5 as Portsmouth Peace Treaty Day, commemorating the treaty which ended the 1904-1905 Russo-Japanese War.
