NTT DoCoMo to sell mobile phone designed to protect children

TOKYO, Japan - NTT DoCoMo Inc. on Nov. 24 announced the development of a mobile phone that can sound an alarm and make automatic alert calls in the event of an emergency to help keep children safe, as an increasing number of them fall victim to brutal crime. Japan's largest mobile phone operator will put the new handset, the FOMA SA800i, on the market in March 2006.
