TOKYO, Japan - A file photo taken in 2000 shows Ryogo Urabe, who served Emperor Hirohito as a chamberlain of the Imperial Household Agency, from December 1969 to February 2002. The diaries kept by Urabe indicated that Emperor Hirohito was discontent with Yasukuni Shrine's enshrining of Class-A World War II criminals and concerned about disputes with other Asian countries over history. Nagashima's wife Akiko dies at 64

TOKYO, Japan - Former Yomiuri Giants manager Shigeo Nagashima's wife Akiko (C) died Sept. 18 of heart failure at a Tokyo hospital. She was 64. The photo taken in February 2002 shows Akiko Nagashima attending a meeting of a government program to deal with the effects of global warming. (Kyodo)
