U.S.-WASHINGTON, D.C.-CHINA-LIU JIANCHAO-BLINKEN-MEETING

(240114) -- WASHINGTON,D.C, Jan. 14, 2024 (Xinhua) -- Liu Jianchao, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, meets with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Washington, D.C., the United States, Jan. 12, 2024. Liu Jianchao led a CPC delegation on a visit to the United States from Jan. 8 to 13. During the visit, Liu met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Principal Deputy National Security Advisor Jon Finer, federal senators and representatives from both Democratic and Republican parties, San Francisco Mayor London Breed and professionals from such U.S. sectors including finance, industry and commerce, think tank, and media. Liu attended a symposium under the China-U.S. Track 1.5 Dialogue, and delivered a speech at the U.S. Council on Foreign Relations. Liu also met with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. The delegation had an in-depth exchange of views with various parties on China's development prospects, China-U.S.

Toshiba to release glasses-free big 3-D TV, thin tablet

TOKYO, Japan - Toshiba Corp. announced on Oct. 3, 2011, it will release a 55-inch glasses-free 3-D television with high display resolution and the world's thinnest, lightest tablet, both in mid-December in Japan. The REGZA 55X3 television with a price tag of around 900,000 yen, comes with the so-called quad full high-definition panel that boasts display images four times finer than high-definition resolution

Jubilo Iwata midfielder Fujita to join Utrecht

IWATA, Japan - Jubilo Iwata midfielder Toshiya Fujita (in file photo) will join FC Utrecht of the Dutch first division, his club said on Aug. 3. While finer details still need to be worked out, the 31-year-old Japanese will join the team on loan, according to a formal agreement reached by the two sides. (Kyodo)
