ROME, Italy - A work by Japanese sculptor Mitsuaki Tanabe (R, top) was put on display April 1 at the headquarters of the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization in Rome to commemorate the completion of a large freezing facility in Norway to store a variety of seeds to prevent the extinction of agricultural crops. The stainless-steel sculpture, named ''Yasei Ine,'' meaning wild rice, imitates the shape of rough rice, which has a long awn that is distinctive to wild rice. According to the survey, 6.1 million foreign tourists arrived in Spain in April against 629,000 in the same month 2021, when several COVID-19 restrictions were still in place. In April 2019, Spain had 7.14 million international visitors.
