Yamaha to release up-market scooter

TOKYO, Japan - Yamaha Motor Co.'s MAXAM CP250 scooter. Yamaha says the 250 cc bike features enhanced maneuverability for city riding and the entire body is paint coated to give the machine an expensive look. The scooter, which will be released Sept. 14, carries a 661,500 yen price tag.

Yamaha Motor to introduce 2-seat scooter in April

TOKYO, Japan - Yamaha Motor Co. will start selling the two-seat scooter Maxam CP250 (photo) from April 1 in line with the planned lifting of a ban on riding double on highways. The Maxam CP250 has an engine displacement of 250 cc and a low-slung body to ensure stability. It will sell for 630,000 yen.
