Japan, U.S. to release initiative on 70th anniv. of postwar relations

WASHINGTON, United States - Yasuo Fukuda, a former Japanese prime minister, holds a press conference in Washington on Dec. 5, 2014, after attending a meeting of influential people from Japan and the United States on releasing an initiative in 2015 that will feature a variety of visions to enhance bilateral ties on the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II. Fukuda, who co-chairs the meeting, said the meeting will reconvene in Tokyo in May to announce an initiative called Pacific Vision 21.
