Operation is under way to remove the elevated expressway over the historic Nihombashi bridge in Tokyo on June 24, 2022. Nihombashi bridge will see the light of day again in fiscal 2040 in a 320 billion yen ($2.3 billion) renewal project with work commencing to remove the expressway.
