Japan: JAXA Successfully Launches Next-Generation H3 Rocket Into Space 4

JAXA (The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) launched its new flagship H3 rocket into space in a second attempt on Saturday, February 17, and announced that it confirmed the rocket has reached orbit as planned. The H3 lifted off from the Tanegashima Space Center in the southwestern prefecture of Kagoshima at 9:22 a.m., JST.

SUEZ, Egypt - The transport ship Osumi and two other ships of the Maritime Self-Defense Force (MSDF) pass through the Suez Canal, Egypt, on Oct. 14 for Turkey, carrying 500 prefabricated houses for people who lost their homes in a killer earthquake. The vessels will arrive in Turkey on Oct. 19. The quake hit northwestern Turkey on Aug. 17, killing more than 15,000 people and leaving many more homeless.
