Matsushita to release smallest 3-CCD digital video camera

OSAKA, Japan - Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. said Sept. 15 it will release what it says is the world's smallest and lightest digital video camera among models using three charge-coupled devices. The SDR-S100 camera for high-quality pictures, to be put on the market in Japan on Oct. 15, is 49.9 by 96.7 by 80.4 millimeters and weighs 242 grams without the battery. Sony unveils prototype of biped entertainment robot

TOKYO, Japan - Sony Corp. on March 19 introduces the prototype of a small biped entertainment robot, the ''SDR-4X'' featuring advanced walking and sound recognition functions. The robot can sing, dance and automatically right itself when it falls over.
