Police raid elementary school over teacher promotion scandal

OITA, Japan - Police remove documents after raiding an elementary school in Saiki, Oita Prefecture, on July 22. The vice principal of the school has told the police that he gave vouchers to an arrested senior education board official in return for a promotion.

SAIKI, Japan - Two policemen brush the street in Saiki, Oita Prefecture on Aug. 12 to wash down the blood stains left there in the wake of an overnight incident, in which a man and a woman were stabbed to death by an unidentified man.
