OAKLAND, United States - In a September 2007 file photo, a diver swims above bleached coral reefs in the waters off Taketomi Island in Okinawa Prefecture. International researchers warned on Feb. 23, 2011, that 75 percent of the world's coral reefs are threatened by global warming and environmental destruction, and that the world may lose most of the reefs by 2050 if no measures are taken.
