China: Cheeky Spider Monkey Meets Its Match During Tourist Encounter at Shanghai Zoo

On May 14, 2026, at Shanghai Wild Animal Zoo, a spider monkey named Doudou repeatedly grabbed a tourist's hair and arm during an encounter. When the visitor gently held the monkey still, it froze with a stunned expression. After being released, the monkey clung to the tourist until a keeper stepped in to calm it down.
