The rail link is expected to greatly enhance connectivity and bring more balanced growth to the country by linking its less-developed region on the east coast to the economic heartland on the west coast. As of mid-April, the project has seen 65 percent completed, with 13 stations along the route already under construction. Currently, there are about 23,000 staff working on the project.
