The agency also reported the facilities involved in extinguishing fires included 18 aircraft. According to EMERCOM, as of 14:58 (1158 GMT) on Friday, seven fires were burning in the region. Three were localized in an area of 150 hectares. The aircraft performed a total of 2,783 discharges (over 200 per day), dropping 20,877 tons of water (over 1,500 per day). TOKYO, Japan - The photo, taken by the Defense Agency, shows a Russian Backfire bomber which entered Japanese airspace near Hokkaido, northern Japan, twice on Feb. 14. Four Russian planes, including two Backfire Tu-22 bombers, flew eastward over the Soya Straits near Rebun Island, northern Hokkaido, between 11:59 a.m. and 12:02 p.m., the agency said.
