Sony unveils PDA with organic EL display featuring crisp video

TOKYO, Japan - Sony Marketing (Japan) Inc., a Sony Corp. arm, said on Sept. 14 it will start selling a personal digital assistant equipped with organic electroluminescent display (in handout photo), a next-generation monitor featuring crisp video. The CLIE PEG-VZ90 to be put on the market on Sept. 25 will likely sell for 95,000 yen, Sony officials said.

Kyocera to enter luminescent display market

KYOTO, Japan - Kyocera Corp. President Yasuo Nishiguchi presents a flat-panel organic electroluminescent (EL) display in Kyoto Jan. 13. Sanyo, Eastman Kodak to make new flat-panel display

OSAKA, Japan - Handout photo shows a full-color organic electroluminescent (EL) panel display for use in electronic devices which Sanyo Electric Co. and Eastman Kodak Co. of the United States plan to begin producing in a joint venture in Japan in early 2002. Sanyo officials said Dec. 4, 2001 the company plans to use the panels initially for its mobile phones capable of displaying moving pictures.
