Daiei to open fashion outlet in Ginza

TOKYO, Japan - Debt-strapped supermarket chain operator Daiei Inc. will soon open a retail outlet devoted to selling fashionable clothes in Tokyo's Ginza shopping area in an effort to turn around its corporate fortunes. Daiei officials said Oct. 25 the fashion building will accommodate such brand tenants as the PAS, a casual clothes shop, the RedWoods jeans retailer (pictured), and nispicy, a marketer of apparel for women in their 20s.
