STORY: More rare species spotted in SW China's nature reserve DATELINE: April 10, 2023 LENGTH: 00:03:36 LOCATION: CHONGQING, China CATEGORY: ENVIRONMENT SHOTLIST: 1. various of Chongqing Xuebaoshan National Nature Reserve 2. various of species living in the nature reserve STORYLINE: According to China's Chongqing Xuebaoshan National Nature Reserve, more rare species were spotted there. The infrared cameras have captured multiple video clips of some endangered species including forest musk deer, golden pheasant, and the Chinese goral, which are under state protection in China. The number of the forest musk deers has increased to over 40 in Xuebaoshan, according to the staff of the nature reserve. The rare deer is listed as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species. Xinhua News Agency correspondents reporting from Chongqing, China.
