The Karamon Gate of Nishihonganji Temple is seen from the southeast, facing northeast. The four-legged gate facing Kitakoji Street is said to have been moved from Fushimi Castle in the Momoyama Period. Kiyomizudera seen a short time before photograph #3854 was taken. A temple of the Shingon sect of Buddhism, it was founded by the Buddhist priest Keijun in 1623.
