A woman carrying a child on her back

A woman carrying a child stands in a garden. A dog is lying behind her on the road. The one-story house has a kokera-buki (thin planks with bamboo nails) roof. There is a gas light in front of the house. This house is built on a ledge of the slope, and the left side is hilly. The box held shut with a roof tile on the right may be a garbage receptacle.==Date:unknown, Place:Kyoto, Photo:unknown, (Credit:Nagasaki University Library/Kyodo News Images) [Cabinet Number46‐87‐0]
