US: Boat Bursts Into Flames off City Island, Bronx, Three Injured

A 30-foot boat burst into flames near a dock on Bridge Street on City Island in the Bronx borough of New York City on Saturday, August 29, sending thick black smoke into the surrounding area. Firefighters brought the blaze under control in about an hour, and three people suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospitals; the cause of the fire remains unknown.
