China: Humanoid Robot Crashes Into Barrier During Speed Trial

A T2 humanoid robot developed by Booster Robotics crashed into a protective barrier after losing control during a high-speed turn at the National Speed Skating Oval in Beijing on August 19, 2026. The robot was competing in a warmup event for the 2nd World Humanoid Robot Games when it failed to slow down, veered off the track, and slammed into the barrier, sending sparks into the air.

On August 17, 2026, a humanoid robot warming up ahead of the Second World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing lost control while rounding a bend on a running track. The machine veered off course and slammed into two electrical boxes beside the track, knocking both to the ground.
