NARITA, Japan - The customs office at Narita airport in Chiba Prefecture on Aug. 8 shows to the press 22.3 kilograms of marijuana which 22-year-old woman Keila Kakoi is suspected of trying to smuggle into Japan hidden in a carry-on bag. Kaoko, a resident of Kani, Gifu Prefecture, was arrested on July 20 when she arrived at the airport from Brazil. The drug haul is the largest found in a single piece of carry-on luggage at Narita since the airport's opening in 1978.

The drugs, hidden in a surfboard Baer was carrying, had a street value of 213 million yen. It was the single largest drug haul at Narita since the airport's opening in 1978.
