Volkswagen's new sports car features good acceleration, mileage

TOKYO, Japan - Volkswagen's new compact sports car, launched in Japan earlier in September 2010, features excellent acceleration and improved fuel efficiency, company officials said. Equipped with a 1400 cc engine that has two superchargers, the third-generation model of the Polo GTI can accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in just 6.9 seconds, Volkswagen Group Japan K.K. said.

Mazda launches remodeled Roadster sports car

TOKYO, Japan - NTT DoCoMo Inc. said May 17 it will launch five new handsets in June for its FOMA third-generation mobile phone services. The new 901iS series will feature electronic money services and allow users to browse document files and switch to the television-mode during a voice call. Each model is expected to sell for around 35,000 yen.
