UK: Fox Encounter Captured on Video in Snowy Aberdeen

On Wednesday, November 19, a cute fox encounter was captured on video in snowy Aberdeen. Filmed outside the Asda supermarket in Garthdee, the video shows a usually cautious wild fox walking toward the camera without fleeing or showing any signs of caution amid the falling snow.

US: Glacial Lake Flooding Damages More Than 100 Homes In Juneau, Alaska

More than 100 homes in Juneau, Alaska, were damaged by flooding after a glacial lake overflowed, sending surging water to nearby neighborhoods. Gov. Mike Dunleavy declared a state disaster emergency on Tuesday, August 6, as the Mendenhall River reached record levels and flooded neighborhoods in Mendenhall Valley. There were no deaths or severe injuries reported.

The Tian Wan Xing (Uranus) Building in Hualien collapsed after a very strong earthquake hit Taiwan on April 3. As of writing, 9 people are reported dead and over a thousand were injured. USGS measured the magnitude of the quake at 7.4, but local reports say it was of 7.2 magnitude.

With a total area of about 298,000 square kilometers, the reserve is home to over 30 wild animal species listed on China's national-level protection catalogue, such as the Tibetan antelope and the wild yak. Norbu Yugyel wildlife protection station, named after a heroic ranger who died in a fight against poaching, is among the 73 wildlife protection stations established at the Changtang National Nature Reserve since 2015.
